About Me

At a young age, Eloisa Joy Saurin loved creating things that arose from her imagination and frequently participated in school art competitions. During junior high school at Manila Central University, she participated in and won second place in the "Pots of Clay: Tessellation Painting Challenge."

In 2016, she transferred to the University of the East-Caloocan, as she wanted to pursue her interest in the arts. Taking the Visual Arts Strand at Senior High School, she met various individuals that shared similar interests. During her freshman year at UE CFAD, she applied and became one of the first-year representatives of Buklod Sining, an organization that focuses on expanding its expertise in the art industry. Since then, numerous opportunities for her work to be included in exhibitions both inside and outside of the university have arisen. Her works have been displayed in several exhibitions, such as "Canvas" (2018) and "GARAGE" (2019), during Senior High School. "Art for Everyone" (2019) at the SM Megamall. "Buklod Sining Trenta: Could Happen, Could Have Happened" (2021), an exhibit to celebrate the organization’s 30th anniversary. "Ani ng Silangan" (2020), at the University of the East-Manila. The "Lockdown Gallery" (2021) aims to sell masterpieces by various UE artists, with thirty percent of the sales supporting the UE CFAD Maintenance Personnel during the pandemic. "Pira-Pirasong Kwento ng Martial Law: A Creative Collage Exhibition" (2021), an exhibition of 50 collages at the Digital Museum of Martial Law PH. "Sa Pagitan ng Gabi at ng Bukang Liwayway" (2022) exhibit at the National Commission for Culture and the Arts and the "Go Beyond: Online Art Exhibit" (2022) event of the UE CFAD RSO’s and Student Council.

In her sophomore year, she also became a student leader, where she ran for and was elected as Vice President of the CFAD Student Council in the academic year 2020–2021. This opportunity leads her to hone her skills to facilitate events and serve her fellow CFAD students. In that same year, she became a semi-finalist in the 53rd Shell National Art Competition with her piece "Mirasol" in the Sculpture category.
